Day 189, in this Journal
"This too will end, and a new beginning will come"
Yesterday I had my Pacemaker checkup, and my DBS tweaked as you all know. And that was all well and good. Going there I went with Taxi service, and like chatting with the drivers, if they're up to it.
I had (as usual) different drivers there and back home. And this time both the drivers were immigrants from Somalia this time. The first driver and I talked about families, and the impact a divorce has on your children. And we had a lot in common, so it was a nice distraction for me because I had a mild panic attack waiting for my transport.
For me, talking to new people gets me relaxed at least in a 1 to 1 situation. The second driver and I started to talk about religion, and as he was a very dedicated Muslim. This turned out to be one of my most interesting meetings in the past year. We talked about what differs our religions but also what is alike. Like the notion of heaven and hell, and what we thought about where we would end up when our lives end. And we both said almost with one mouth that if we do good in this World we end up in heaven.
We sadly enough had to cut our talk short, but I think we both departed a small bit wiser and richer.
..... And on that note remember that, the Covid-19 crises isn't over yet so......
Be safe, keep your distances and wash your hands and take care of each other and your lil selves!
